Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most challenging and exciting trek in the Everest Region. It follows the route via Lukla airport to Namche Bazar and Namche Bazar to meters into Mt. Everest Base Camp (5364m.). Trekking to Everest Base Camp begins with an amazing flight to Lukla. From Lukla you will walk uphill slowly following the trail to the Dudh Kosi (it means ‘River of Milk’), and all through forests of rhododendron, pine and magnolia. After few hours of trekking you will eventually reach Namche Bazaar (3,340 m) and spend one more day at Namche Bazaar (the delightful Sherpa capital) for acclimatization and optional hike around. 

After you reach Gorekshep and Climb up to Basecamp and from you will enjoy stunning peaks of different mountains such as Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyo, Mt Ama Dablam, Mt. Cholatse, Mt. Kangtega, Mt. Thamserku, and many others. Then, next day you will Pheriche all the way down form the Base Camp. After Pheriche you move towards Tengbouche. From Tengbouche you enjoy an impressive up-close panoramic view of Mt. Everest. The next morning you will come to Namchebazar, take rest at Namche. Next day from Namche Bazar day you reach Lukla. While on trek you will enjoy the incredible mountain scenery until you reach Lukla airstrip. Next day morning you take a flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu (1300m) and transfer to hotel

When you land Kathmandu in Tribhuvan Internation aiport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Great Vision Trek. First we complete your Visa and other custom formalities; you will be transferred to the hotel organized by Great Vision along with your luggage. You then check in and take rest or you can visit our office and hang around as per your interest. You stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2840m) and trek to Phakding (2610m) 3-4 hours

We will take early morning flight from Kathmandu (1400m). There are many flights for Lukla (2840 m). The flight duration from Kathmandu to Lukla is approximately 35 minutes. After we reach Lukla, we take rest for an hour while our guides and local porters prepare for the trip. After an hour rest, our trail begins to Phakding (2610 m).

Day 3: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3340m)

From Phakding trail leads to Dudh Koshi River and valley lying to its west bank. Climbing steeply towards Benkar through a rocky ridge, we head to the magnificient forests of magnolia, giant firs and rhododendron which make the trail beautiful to walk in. We climb up to Monjo (2840m) across the kyashar and enter the Sagarmatha National Park lying beyond Monjo. Way to entrance station makes a steep rocky descent where we cross Dudh Koshi River leading us to Namche Bazaar (3420m).

Day 04:  Acclimatization and rest day

After a hectic day, you need to take rest and prepare for further higher trek. This day will be a hiking day for you where we hike to the villages of Khumjung and Khunde. Our hike start from Shyanboche airstrip via climbing one hour and lead to Khunde where we pass through numerous stone Buddhist monuments. After Khunde, we head east to the large Khumjung village lying at the foot of the sacred mountain Khumbila. We then have lunch and rest for a while then follow to Chhorkung (3540m) and back to Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Trek Namche Bazaar to Tengbouche (3860m) 6-7 hours

From Namche, we resume our trek to Syangboche which is the old Airport but have the helicopter service. We can view beautiful peaks between through Syangboche and Khumjung such as Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptese, Thamserku, Kwangde. Kangtega and many more. We then visit Khumjung village at 3790m ( a Sherpa village) where we can see the school and hospital made by Sir Edmount Hillary.

After experiencing amazing peaks, we head to Sanasa which have a small settlement area. The trail from Sanasa drops to Phunki Thanga then climb up through forests and hills where we find monestary of Tengboche at 3870m. From here we can view inspiring parorama of Mountain giants including Everest, Ama Dablan, Kwangde, Kantega, Nuptse, Thamserku and Lhotse. We will stay in Tengboche village and experience the people’ lifestyle and culture.

Day 6: Trek Dengbouche to Ferichhe (4240m) 4-5 hours

Pheriche is the destination set for the day. Leaving Dengbouche behind, we follow the stone steps and hike down through the forest enjoying the scents of the fresh vegetation to cross the bridge over the Imja River at Chaturje. A steep ascent past the settlement of Pangboches can take us to a different bridge at Somar, where we hike towards another bridge on a flat path, through the alpine meadows and yak herds following the geographic region of the Imja River. Before reaching the bridge we have a tendency to stumble upon a path junction where the Everest 3 pass path meets the bottom camp path. Leaving the Everest 3 passes behind, we continue to Everest base camp path and hike up to the Pheriche pass. Then a mild hike down the pass past the bridge and stone walls can take us to the settlement of Pheriche. Within the evening, we stroll round the village of Pheriche. We stay overnight here.

Day 7: Rest and acclimation day in Ferichhe

This day is an acclimation day in Ferichhe. For this, we go for a brief sixty minute hike to the highest of the ridge behind Ferichhe to fancy the beautiful views of a number of the lofty peaks of the planet in addition on adapt to the dilution air. Day 8: Trek Ferichhe to Gorakshep (5140m) 6-7 hours

Day 9: Trek Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp (5364m) 6-7 hours

The path continues to climb to Gorak Shep where we check in to Mt. Lodge, have lunch and once more begin to climb up to Everest Base Camp. Having passed the pyramid sign, we will now spot the crest of the north ridge of Everest in conjunction with Mt. Pumori, Mt Mahalangur, Mt. Lingtern, Mt Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse and so on. Simply a tiny low ascent from here leads you to 360 degree panorama of snowy mountains. A steep climb up to the highest through the torrent of Changri glacier provides you a glimpse of Kala Pattar. Walking through rocky and glacial trails finally results in the Everest Base Camp (5,357m). Once reaching the bottom Camp you'll come to Gorekshep (5,160m) where you stay overnight.

Day 10: Return back to Dingboche from Everest Base Camp 6-8 hours

We head back to Dingboche after a great success of the trail from Everest Base Camp. We walk for about 6 to 8 hours through the steep up and down the hills. We stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 11: Trek Back to Namche from Dingboche

The trail takes down through the hillside green forest of juniper trees and rhododendron then we cross the prayer flag festooned bridge over Dudh Koshi River following Dudh Koshi Gorge through pine forest. We can explore colorful pheasants and mountain goats in the forest. We then reach to Sansa experiencing Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Thamserku mountains. We reach at Namche Bazzar by passing winding trail and forest.

Day 12: Trek Back to Lukla from Namche Bazaar

As the trail steps down steeply so we need to walk very carefully as our legs are shaky and frequently get ang fight in the rockey terrain. After we cross the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, the trail becomes natural and easy and we arrive in Lukla. We take a good rest, relax and celebrate and stay overnight.

Day 13: Fly Back to Kathmandu transfer to hotel and explore evening cultural dinner.

  In this day, we will have a flight to Kathmandu before that you can have shopping, collect souvenirs as per your wish and head to Kathmandu. After we reach Kathmandu, you will be taken to the Hotel where you experience evening culture dinner.

 Day  14: Final Departure

This is your last day in Kathmandu so you can enjoy your meal, go shopping before flight. Our representative with driver will take you to the airport for departure.
