Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
When you land Kathmandu in Tribhuvan Internation aiport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Great Vision Trek. First we complete your Visa and other custom formalities; you will be transferred to the hotel organized by Great Vision along with your luggage. You then check in and take rest. After that visit our office and make the settlement of due/rest of amount the hanging around. You stay overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu city tour
Today, we tour to heritage sites at Kathmandu. We start a guide tour from your hotel to four heritage site in Kathmandu which is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First we visit to Pashupatinath Temple situated in Gausala and banks of Bagmati River where Aryaghat, famous funeral site for Hindus lies. After sightseeing, we visit to Boudhanatha, the Buddhists shrine which is one of the largest stupa in the world. Boudhhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimages that include over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries and popular tourist destination. Tour leads to Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur holds the medieval king’s palaces who had ruled over Kathmandu Kingdom once. Our last tour will be Swayambhu (the self-existent) which is one of the famous touristic areas where we find large number of monkey population. After sightseeing, we go back to you hotel and you can take rest and prepare for trekking.
Day 03: Arrival day in Paro
After you arrive at Paro (2250m), our guide will take you to the hotel booked for you; there you can get refreshment and rest. This day you can explore the Paro area and prepare for the tour.
Day 04: Drive to Thimpu. (2350m) 54km, 2 hours
. Destination set for today is Thimphu so we drive for 2 hours from Paro to reach Thimphu (2320m). Overnight at Thimphu and have dinner.
Day 05: Explore Thimpu
After breakfast at the hotel, the complete day will be spent exploring the capital of bhutan, Thimpu. daily tour of Thimpu starts with a visit to the King’s memorial chorten additionally called the foremost visible religious landmark in Bhutan (dedicated to the third King of Bhutan), and continues with alternative attractions of the capital that embody the radio tower, zoo, the convent Temple, the National Library, the Institute of ancient medicine, the Textile museum, the Handicraft department store, the traditional Paper industrial plant and also the Tashichho Dzong. The lunch is going to be served in between while the evening are going to be spent strolling on the streets of Thimpu. Overnight in an exceedingly Hotel in Thimpu.
Day 06: Drive from Thimpu to Punakha. (1250m) 76 km, 3 hrs
Destination set for today is Punakha (1250m) which takes 3 hours drive from Thimphu. After breakfast, we will have a scenic ride on a coiled narrow street. During the trip, we will experience Himalayan views, forest of Rhododendron, rice fields and rivers. After we reach Punakha, we go to the hotel and rest.
Day 07: Hike Punakha to Gangtey and back to Punakha. (2900m)Punakha: 85Km,3-4 hrs
Destination set for today is Gangtey, a 17th century old monastery situated in Wangdue Phodrang district. During the trip, we come across forest of rhododendron and oak, black naked cranes and villages. After exploring the area, we head back to Punakha and return to the same hotel and stay overnight.
Day 08: Drive back to Paro. (130km) 4 hrs
After breakfast, we drive back to Paro via Dochula Pass, experiencing Chimi Lakhang, a fertility temple and drive continues till Paro. After reaching paro, we stay in a Hotel and have dinner.
Day 09: Departure day
After breakfast, we head towards the Paro airport and depart to Kathmandu. After arrival, we get back to the Hotel and rest.
